As the world began to re-open in the summer of 2020, Janelle and Mason would sit down at a quaint little wine bar in Downtown Oklahoma City to begin their first date. All too soon, though, did they realize that there’s no way that this could have been the first time they met. Pouring through shared experiences year-by-year, the two came to discover that a myriad of common hang-outs and mutual friends meant that they HAD to have run into each other before. Where timing is certainly everything in finding “the one”, the universe had surely been playing a game in allowing that timing to work out between the two of them. Another half of a year would pass before their bond would be too strong for either to ignore.

As weeks and months went by since that date, the phrase “just friends” was uttered often, and was usually met from eye-rolls from their friends. Frequent Saturdays spent getting lunch, shopping at Target together, and catching happy hours would strengthen Janelle and Mason to become Best Friends (certainly nothing more, though, they would say). Of course with high peaks come low valleys, and the constant “will they/won’t they” feelings would lead to setting distance between the two for a brief period. Even so, such feelings could never be ignored for long.

As the year turned to 2021, Janelle and Mason vowed to stop ignoring the inevitable, and the friendship evolved into the greatest love either had known. Years later, the laughter, travel, and delicious foods they’ve shared has became well worthy of celebration. The couple is happy to welcome you to this event that will surely be a beautiful commemoration of this story, a dedication to their love, and an opening of the door which welcomes the unbridled joy that will be the rest of their lives together.
