What did Janelle and Mason do on their first date? This should surprise no one... they went to a wine bar! This is our favorite wine bar in town, with a very cozy atmosphere and an amazing wine selection. Better yet - it's also walking distance from our venue!

Scissortail Park

After a wine flight at the Study, Janelle and Mason wanted to keep the date going. Janelle ran over to a nearby bakery (which has since closed) and grabbed pastries, and Mason grabbed a bottle of orange wine. They then headed to Scissortail Park to look at the stars.

They sat on the top of the hill and drank their wine, but they eventually got kicked out because a park ranger said we weren't allowed to drink in the park. To no one's surprise, Janelle tried to argue with the ranger about this—you CAN drink wine in the park! We eventually gave up.

If you do go though and would like some wine, no worries, you are definitely allowed to have a drink in the park. You can even grab a grab-and-go drink there! Jokes on you, park ranger.
